hey everyone had a quick question around how you've made video messages successful. when I was a product focused AE my video messages were extremely successful (usually 20% got a meeting) but I'm not seeing the same success on the services side.
I typically send mine via Vidyard and I send them over email or LinkedIn.
I've tried this new strategy to where I'll send blank requests to executives in banking that use Salesforce (that's my industry focus and I work for a systems integrator).
the strategy is simple. ill start off with tailored emails first to build familiarity and what we're doing with clients like them.
the second step is a phone call and then a LinkedIn request.
for all the people who accept my request I'll wait a few days and then send them a recorded video from my phone where I'm taking a walk in my neighborhood (60 seconds or less) I'll reference a client that I know is in their market that we work with and give a perspective on how we've helped that client and offer a consultative session with our delivery manager who works directly with those clients. I'll also mention triggering events like mergers or acquisitions (anything pointing towards their growth).
for those who don't accept I'll send a video via email.
I usually stop at 7 steps with a call and a final email.
my emails are being opened at over a 50% rate, my videos usually get played. I'll get responses but the nature of our business is very timing driven due to the fact that they either already need to have ongoing projects, already have a partner or are planning projects. usually I'll get a "I'd usually take you up on your offer but we have XYZ going on" or "hit me up in six months, great video"
their benefit is getting a perspective on what their competitors are doing and then getting real insight from consultants who actually work on said projects.
I just started doing this campaign im on my last steps and haven't gotten booked meetings out of it.
thoughts on what I could be missing? I know im hitting up the right people but the timing issue is what's holding me back. or maybe an informational session isn't compelling enough. I also offer a second opinion on any projects they're considering.
would love to hear all your suggestions. I know something is missing.
