Yes.  I just tried this last week and got this response:  Hey Savage, Sorry I don't click links in emails but sure I'll have a meeting, how about next Thursday at 10am est?   <---I guess this is a success?

I’ve been using video both in email and LinkedIn. Agreed with @alecabaral said - I’ve seen the most success as my 3/4 touch after someone has opened my first email or two. Recently though, haven’t had success with it on LinkedIn

I was able to copy and paste another sequence my company had, and by replacing the second manual email with me sending a personalized video, I was able to increase the reply rate by 9%.

Note: these weren't all replies saying "Yes, let's book a time!" There were quite a few that just gave me more info. Like: "Thanks for taking the effort to reach out! Unfortunately, there isn't a need for this right now, but we'll begin evaluations in Q3, so feel free to reach back out then."

Or: "Hey, thanks for reaching out - I'm not the right person, but Joe Schmo in accounting would probably be interested."

And to make it abundantly clear: DO NOT send a video as a first step. It's a waste of time and mildly creepy.

I’ve been using it for a couple of years, and it’s good to capture people’s attention. I use it regularly. There’s a couple of vendors you can try (try g2crowd for reference here: https://www.g2.com/categories/video-email), some of them offer free accounts. It’s worth the shot but ultimately it will depend on how you insert it into your prospecting plays!

To mirror what @chitownguy09 said, I don’t use it to prospect but as a follow up after an email open. Direct, personalized and concise. Increases my meetings booked rate by 13% vs Non-video sequences.

I don't because it's not my thing. 🤷‍♀️

Was against it 2 years ago because it felt awkward, but implemented a personalized message as 2nd Email/InMail after I received some from recruiters and noticed I showed it to others and made me laugh. My messages overall are quite personal, so it fits my style. Reply rate went up by around 15% with similar responses as @Kirby mentioned. Currently using Vidyard, but there are more vendors that will do the job.

I have mixed emotions on video as a prospecting medium TBH.  It presents some opportunity to be creative and cut through the noise a bit -- but also presents the opportunity to miss REALLY bad.   What I do LOVE video for is post call review emails, and proposal reviews.

It's worked great for me. It helps humanize you. And even when I haven't gotten a meeting right away, I think it's a good long-term play.

Something I've done that I've had some good success with- for accounts I REALLY want to talk with, I'll have my SE record a 1-2 minute mini-demo outlining their specific use case.

I call out their suspected challenge and share the video as a solution.
