I do that and at times people get awkward.

As if they weren't expecting it in their worst nightmare.

I still do this. The weird thing is I don't wave at all after a meeting when at the office.

It's a personal thing for me, just comes naturally - so I don't think it's awkward. People say goodbye however they want. Not everyone waves back lol

I'll wave before exiting the meeting. I don't see what the big deal is about waving or non-waving, there is much bigger aspects of my, and I'm sure everyone else's, deal cycle to worry about than waving.

Waving sounds pretty weird. I’d try something more normal, like a sassy Z-snap or something.

Type of wave is important. I tend to flash just the hand up with no wagging with a confident, "adios". But that matches my personality.

If flapping your hand about like a dying pidgeon while sobbing and shrieking, "never leave me!" matches your personal style and doesn't make things awkward, have at it, and congrats.

Haha this is so awkward. There is a member on my team that is the most awkward on his Zoom calls with his prospects because he tries to make it too personal.

I should write a quick read article on what not to do on Zoom based on this persons behavior.

I say no to waiving on Zoom.
