marketing folks aren't creative anymore. They just rehash the same stuff over and over again that everyone else is doing "because it works". They don't realize it doesn't differentiate their product from the pack at all. Its left 100% up to the sales person to do that. Which is fine, except that marketing thinks they do it all and sales is useless.
