“We Ended up hiring someone to do that”

How in the cinnamon toast f*** do I respond to this without coming across as condescending or seeming amazed at their stupidity? My first thought is always “ You are going to spend 4x as much for human error??? Who put you in charge??” Obviously that is NOT an appropriate response. How do you guys handle this?

Even some of the most turn-key type solutions aren't a real replacement for an internal hire depending on the org and situation.

But, in the instance that the solution is a true replacement, could be a variety of reasons that is probably best tackled with social proof and customer references.

Also, sometimes, prospects / customers are just dumb. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Retards instead of regards can sometimes be a worthy closing line.

One time I typed ‘cunt’ instead of ‘count’… that was pretty bad. I’ve also typed ‘retards’ instead of ‘regards’ at the end of my email.
