Rapport building is my favorite and what I'm best at, but all those other things are arguably more important

Agreed!
I got into sales because I genuinely enjoy building new relationships and I have fun connecting with people I have never met before. This is not what closes the deal, but it is what gets you to the negotiating table.

I can step in and negotiate the shit out of any deal. Closers for Hire ™️ coming to a closing call near you.

You are right. I wanted to choose all of the above.

I have the most experience in cold calling, but my strongest is rapport building, don't have ANY experience in negotiating and closing. I mean I guess booking a meeting can be considered closing but that's only the start of it.

Cold calling plus rapport building is a gift.. rest is comparatively easy, I feel.

I can see that, I see them as skills that can be learned. So when the time comes?

There is no right time. You learn every day and you polish urself every day. What can help though is journaling your sales stories.. you can see the progression over the period and learn.

i can agree with that. It's all part of the sales journey, and getting to the next level is where we can grow professionally and gain new knowledge,

I’m best at prospecting/booking meetings because I was an SDR two years and I’ve been an AE six months. I really want to improve negotiating/closing

I love that the results of this pole are a nice spread and there isn't one leader of favorite.  I think it shows that everyone has strengths and yet you can learn and advance your gaps to become successful.

Interesting to see that the actual sales closure gives the least of satisfaction..
As they say, journey is important than the destination!

Building the cold call strength in my SDR days still is paying dividends now as an AE because I can always go find some top of the funnel for myself

AE’s - Try your best to identify all the ‘key decision makers’ early in the process. You might feel that it’s necessary to wait or to be delicate in how you ask for other people’s involvement – but don’t
