Webinar

I am planning to co-participate in a webinar soon where I will be speaking about certain aspects of my industry and where my product can help. I don't want it to sound too salesy but the host is saying that I can demo the product. I believe in adding value. Just spending my time showing the demo will be too salesy imo. So I thought I should do a hybrid where I talk about a certain aspect of the industry and show a related product feature. Just 2-3 main points and features should be good enough to raise interest.

What do you peeps think?

I'm gonna say hybrid, but have a pre-meeting to discuss why with the host to get their thoughts.

That's the thing. I had a discussion with the host and he asked me to just do demo. It didn't sit with me because of the said reasons above

I would show the demo. But not more than few minutes. And keep it as a success story. Don't just show that you can do X here and Y there.

Show how your customers are using it.

That's a brilliant idea. Thanks a lot. Makes a lot of sense

I think if you can show consistently deep value across appearances and marketing, you will generate interest organically.

This webinar should be a way to introduce yourself as a knowledgeable expert so people want to continue to hear what you have to say. From there, people will look more into your product. People want to work with experts who can solve a business problem for them.

Agreed. Even I want this to be a hook. But it won't happen if I demo the product instead of giving something that people can take back after the end of the webinar

I think you could spend one minute at the end saying "hey, if you found what I was discussing interesting, you can find me at X, Y and Z." Compound that with your introduction of who you are and stating what your product does and that's the right way to go.
