Weekly Organization

Do you plan on having Friday being a day to wrap up the current week or set up the next week?

Do you just go with the flow and have little to no structure?

Personally, I work quite late on Thursdays and use Friday to kickstart the next week so I can dive in Monday morning. Make sure all my ducks are in a row before the weekend. I also have coworkers who barrel through Friday and use Monday as just a stop-and-gather sort of day.

Curious how others have their weeks set up.

I typically wrap up the week on Friday mornings and then Friday afternoon get into planning for the following week. This is a bit fluid, but I've found (mostly) maintaining that consistency has worked well for me. I try my best not to let work bleed into the weekends, but sometimes it has to happen.

Consistency is key for sure. That's a solid way to approach. I find myself stressed if I have to take care of both on Friday, and have just found it easier to sacrifice my Thursday evenings rather than maybe having to work late Friday or let it roll into the weekend. Both of which are obviously sporadically inevitable, however.

FOX! HOW THE HELL ARE YA???

I'm currently in the process of ramping into an AE role and felt I'd be doing myself a disservice if I didn't return to the WR in some capacity

I typically use it as a way to wrap up the week and, as much as I don’t enjoy bringing my work into the weekend, i’ll set up my next week on Sunday.

See, I used to do that - but my weekend plans were too inconsistent to be able to do that every weekend, thus I would find myself in the hole on some weeks. More power to you though, being able to commit to that - think that's the way to go if you can do that consistently.

I actually do monthly planning. Check on my MTD progress on Fridays.

Wow, I can't imagine being organized enough to plan that far. How often do you have to overhaul your monthly plan, if at all?

Not a lot. I reverse engineer my activities based on my annual quota/personal goal.
