Weekly sales meetings and thoughts

What are your thoughts on weekly sales meetings? Needed or totally unnecessary? We have them every Monday morning and they typically push close to an hour which I find completely and utterly wasteful. I've got shit to do!!! Most topics could be covered in an email updating the sales team and I've pushed to make them biweekly. Looking for feedback from the crowd, what do you think?

I'm generally against the weekly Sales meeting, feel like it should be moved to a bi-weekly.  We recently looped in our CS team to the meeting and I'm enjoying it much more.  We've gained much needed visibility into how the onboarding process is going, any challenges, timelines for further tech adoption, etc.

Pardon my ignorance but what does your CS team do? It'll give me some insight into your field at least. I'm in the print industry helping primarily AEC clients so my role is pretty straight forward, no junior reps helping out like in pharma. Thanks for the feedback!

I'm in Advertising tech sales.  The CS team helps the client onboard the technology into their business, train them on using it, and ulimtimately helps them begin spending the marketing dollars within our technology.

I think Sales Meetings that don’t inspire are a waste of time. Pipeline review is best 1:1.

Totally agree. I guess my boss listened to me as we're finally moving them to a biweekly setup so at least I don't need to dread every Monday morning!

Every Friday for an hour and a half. Hell yeah it could be condensed.
