Weird sales games you play to keep it interesting?

We used to have an informal contest for who could drop the most direct quotes from American Psycho in the middle of a sales demo. No points if the prospect figures it out.

There were a lot of calls that I hopped on 1 minute late because I had just finished lunch with Cliff Huxtable at the Four Seasons. Lots of cran-apple stains on my shirt. And more than once did I have to end a call because I had to return some videotapes.

Think the record was 11. Fun times.

What do you do to keep it interesting?

Cold calling competitions! You face off with another rep then you got an hour to call and whoever books more meetings wins.

If you're scared of cold calling but are naturally competitive, this will make your life a lot more fun.

I would say bonus points if they figure it out and you still get the deal.

My former team had some real jokesters and impressionists and we would cold call people with odd British accents. My friend did a Tyrone Biggums and I alternated Dubbya and Obama.

Never did book any meetings from those, but it helped loosen us up for the remainder of the call block.

Actually we sometimes decide to engage with spammers and put them pj speakers and see what they have to say or sell, and go all the way and test their logic.

We encountered people who want to use our services to enable them to send phishing content so it's fun to hear how they try and legitimize their jobs and scams hahaha

Others is to engage with spam skype chatter either the ones who are looking to gwt married and see their end game.
