Went through a four phase interview process with SaaS industries (tech sales)

Hey everyone,

I wanted some feed back from experienced SaaS individuals who have gotten through the last phase of the interview process.

From the very beginning, everything seemed great from my recruiter interview to AE and then to meeting either a VP of sales, CEO, or district manager, only to hear that they regrettably have decided to not continue with me and not present an offer.

I requested feedback and one company notified me some suggestions for future roleplay or I am still awaiting feedback.

Any advice on some tips and things to do better during an interview process.

is it normal to be meeting with ceos and Vps during this process?

P.S: If anyone you know is hiring or looking for a BDR talent, I would appreciate a connection or convo.

thank You in advance

To add to what Diablo said, it's difficult to tell you whether or not it's normal to meet with VPs or CEOs because that's most likely going to depend on the size of the companies you're applying to, and who you'd be reporting to.

I'd get some feedback from the recruiters as well, if I were you, and definitely keep applying and interviewing.

Really is case specific. There are lots of resources here, and you did the right thing by asking for feedback.

In terms of finding a new job, check out Bravado jobs, RepVue, LI, and Indeed.

It's a very broad question and difficult to answer unless we know what good/bad you're doing. There are a lot of great tips posted here - use the search key / browse through academy and you will find a lot of valuable resources. All the best.

Appreciate that. I understand it’s very open ended. I don’t mind giving more context just not sure if it was necessary. Appreciate the feedback

Are you asking for the job? Closing the interview? This was the number one thing I looked for in an SDR interview, people that know/get/want to be in sales, close the interview. People that need a job go through the motions.

Asking for advice and if opportunities are available. Advice on the process of a 4 phase interview, is that normal to meet with a ceo for a company that’s 10 years in and worth 1.6 billion.

find someone that is in close to you or that you can connect with on LI to help coach you and give you immediate feedback. Other than that, check the academy tab

No way to answer that question. HOWEVER... the recruiter should do a better job of preparing you. Do you have a coach? Guessing no... find one.

Remember that when you're doing a sales interview, you're selling yourself to experienced sellers. I'd recommend preparing and executing interviews just like a sales call and then always, always, always closing and asking for the next steps.

Good luck!

damn normally if you get to the VP or CEO level you have a great shot of getting an offer.

a few things to think about.

1. ALWAYS have questions to ask them. it will make a positive impact on how they view you.
2. always always always CLOSE them on you. ask them how they feel about you, is there any reason they wouldnt make an offer to you? what are their concerns about you? what are the next steps?

I've had many four phase interviews. It is normal to meet with the CEO or VP's in this process. At least they got back to you people waste my time and put me through this and then send me a canned email then I didn't get the position. Unacceptively rude
