I always start with "hey, it's xxx from xxxx. you might hate me because this is a cold call. did you wanna hang up or can we talk for a second?" 9/10x it at least gets a chuckle

My go to as an SDR was pretending they were warm. Worked almost every time.
โHi X, itโs X from X. Howโs it going? Looks like itโs been a while since weโve spoken with you, have I got you at a good time? Great, wonโt take long. Like I said itโs been a while. Does X ring a bell or do I need to jog your memory? All good, I can barely remember what I did last month sometimes. To jog your memory, *insert pitch and questions*โ
Iโd say 1% or less would challenge me using this format saying theyโd never spoken with the company before.

Customer: who is this?
Me: Bob with XYZ!
Customer: what about my hand?
Me: we reached our awhile back, and never heard back, so I figured you mustโve broken your hand, cause Iโve not heard back from you!!
Not for everyone, but Iโve had somewhat results, got plenty more if you let me know your Idea customer is!

I've been using something like this one recently and had positive responses
"Hi Prospect, this is Douglo with Company. I was reading your investor report and noticed Company is trying to achieve goal this year. We help companies achieve goal and I wanted to have a quick chat about how we can do the same for Company. Am I catching you at a good time?"
Substitute "I saw you posted, I saw on your website, I saw you worked at x company, etc."
Substitute "I saw you posted, I saw on your website, I saw you worked at x company, etc."
I would go with โHi my name is ___ with ___, have you heard of *insert company* before?โ
Something to the effect of asking for 37 seconds of their time.
Hi _________, this is Jefe with [company]. You were not expecting my call. Do you have a moment? I promise to be brief
