What are simple sales strategies for cold calling?

One strategy I always recommend is running a cold email campaign before you pick up the phone.

A cold email campaign is a great way to weed out the contacts who are never going to convert, so you aren’t wasting your time or theirs. Plus a cold email campaign can work wonders for drumming up new, warm leads who will be interested in your offerings, so you can add them to your funnels and nurture them alongside the rest of your opted-in list.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic, but you have no idea how many people I meet/train who forget 2 very important things. 

1. Best way to learn/improve is to do. No amount of sales theory will make you a better cold caller if you don't practice.
2. Don't underestimate the power of a cold call. It has worked for the last 50 years, I'm betting on 50 more. LinkedIn, emails, text messages... they still have their place, but the easiest way to generate sales is to pick up the phone.

My suggestion is to just call a lot of people and then pick ups will come and you will get the practice to feel more comfortable.
