What are some areas of the sales process you currently struggle with most, but haven't been able to ask for help with?

I often see posts here asking about how to deal with rejections/objections as a whole, or moving to a new CRm, but oftentimes we have these small one-off's that we can struggle with. I feel like, since it's Monday, this could be a good way to bring small troubles to the open forum and allow each of us to air an area we are currently struggling with, no matter how big or small, and other savages can help respond and brainstorm ways to attack.

Sometimes, and I know I'm guilty of this, we may feel things aren't significant enough for their own post or they pop up at random moments. What's on your mind?

I struggle with gettinig people to understand that if a prospect's timeline is 1 month from now, why are we trying to cram in the deal this month and ruin the relationship?

How to better manage my ADD in a corporate environment with zero structure. I struggle LIKE FUCK every damned day with this. I do lists. Omg so many lists. I think I have like six prospect spreadsheets in addition to all the CRM plus a โ€œfact sheetโ€ word doc on major points per prospect. And I time block on my calendar. And I always feel like I want to do 374757585 things at once - try, and feel guilty because I only managed 5. Have major problems paying attention to boring meetings and calls, so I record them to play back later. Itโ€™s incredibly inefficient and I wish I could improve.

Oh man, I feel this. I take modafinil for mine to help corral my focus, and even then I still have issues. What do you feel has worked best for you so far, so I can get a feel for any suggestions I might make?

AEโ€™s - Try your best to identify all the โ€˜key decision makersโ€™ early in the process. You might feel that itโ€™s necessary to wait or to be delicate in how you ask for other peopleโ€™s involvement โ€“ but donโ€™t

AEโ€™s - hereโ€™s a very client-centred way to gather information about โ€˜WHENโ€™ a decision needs to be made. Doing it this way will help you shorten sales cycles and build trust. Keep in mind - not every question I ask in this example is a perfect fit for every buyer, but should give you a good place

Thoughts on hiring sales reps based EQ versus IQ? I have hired more on EQ than IQ with a hint of hunger to make more in comms than IQ. What are your thoughts and what would you normally go for?
