What are some good practices towards personalising a cold outreach?

A tech buyer would have seen a lot of cold outreaches in his/her time and would be able to spot the drab automated communication sequences. How do I stand out from the usual?

Vidyard for the win.  Also, what is it that they said in the interview you read, or podcast you heard, that resonated with you?  Take one podcast episode, pull the resonant points out, and build a sequence with each point being a new email in the sequence....

How do you go about deploying vidyard?

Some reps on my team have started using VidYard. Have you tried it out? I'm skeptical to use it but they've seen some good successes with it. They just make sure to make the video very personalized instead of a generic video.

@quinoa, the good news is that there’s a free version. You can just hit their website and literally sign up and start using vid. I use it for intros, follow ups, meeting recaps and in some cases I’ll walk through a particular function or use case for a customer’s benefit. It’s a noise cutting game changer, IMO

Be brief, be relevant, be gone. Honestly though, demonstrate that you understand them and their problems. Make it as personal as possible. Video helps too.

I haven't really tried a video outreach. Time to get this started.

If you really are "personlizing" it, make it personal. Try and find some connection to them by searching their LinkedIn or other information and tie it back to you

Understand what their company actually does and knowing the industry changes that affect their business. This goes a long way if you can offer some free consultative advice, such as "hey I noticed XYZ on your website and typically my clients see better XYZ if they fix XYZ". Do your homework.

I'd make sure linkedin is up and connected as a personalized touch point.
