I think every seller needs to read about six sigma. Not saying go become a black belt in it, but the idea of your deals that don't close as "waste" is really powerful

It doesn't. Six sigma is a method used in operations and manufacturing to reduce waste and increase quality assurance. But the principles are strikingly applicable to sales. When you look at your pipeline as a process of buyer stages and seller steps, you see how the further you go down the process and lose, the greater the waste (time and resources). So the idea is instead of obsessing over winning more, you aim to lose less (which catapults your efficiency).

Delivery is somewhat obsessive about scope for obvious reasons. I think really defining the exact purpose of every meeting can make your life a LOT easier. Don't have any part of it be nebulous. Put the reason for the meeting and the agenda for every meeting in the notes.

I include internal vertical specialists on my meetings to help move the process. 

I also involve them in pre-call planning, give them all of the research/dd I've done, and ask for their input. We make a gameplan together and are on the same page at all times. HUGE allies y'all.
