What are the best sales-related movie you've watched?

Hello war room!

I love a good movie as much as anyone else, and I am a huge believer of using movies to learn cool stuff, specially because of my work as a sales training designer.

Sometimes I design training with movies in mind to use as examples (remember that one scene where...) For sales there are three movies that inmediately jump into my mind as the best: Wolf of wallstreet, Boiler Room, and The Pursuit of Happiness. Which other movies can you recommend me to watch to help in my training scripts?

Oh it's hilariously good.

"Don Ready (Jeremy Piven) is many things, but he is best-known as an extraordinary salesman. When a car dealership in Temecula teeters on the brink of bankruptcy, he and his ragtag team (Ving Rhames, James Brolin) dive in to save the day. But what Ready doesn't count on is falling in love and finding his soul."

The sell me the pencil scene in the Wolf of wall street is so important. You need to create a need the prospect doesn't have. Biggest take on the movie for me!

That was a monster of a take for me too! There is an interview too where the real jordan belfort explains the exercise more profoundly. He says that what he wants fron the sales rep when selling the pen is to ask questions rather than jump into the pitch right away.

For sure, probing questions, we need to understand their pain in order to solve them, not just feature dump a solution they don’t need or understand.

Abstract thought, but Moneyball is a business movie and in some ways a sales movie (selling everyone on your vision). Love it so much, I figured we should give it a shout here!

I looooooove Moneyball, because I love how much Billie wants to win. And he doesn’t want it to be easy for him, or he’d go work in Boston.
.
After all the money and everything else Sales has made possible for me. I still do it to win, above everything else.

Misspelled Wall Street. It’s called The Pursuit of Happiness. And, finally, just “Boiler Room”.

Best sales movie is this Indy flick where a mom is stuck in a drier and she has to get her step-son to pull her out. Hard sells made by both parties.

I hate the pursuit of happiness. But that could be because my high school loved it so every movie day we would watch it. There would be weeks I would have to watch it like twice in the same week.

Wall Street, the 1987 version. Teaches you to, hustle, but to watch for curveballs and always cover yourself too. Iconic movie for independent people

Has she nitpicked on these type of things in the past or is this new behavior? Did something happen, like a final product was unfinished or unpolished to trigger this?
