I've used memes maybe 5 times in my career and only if it feels EXCEPTIONALLY appropriate. It is a very quick way to build a bond with a prospect and simultaneously a very quick way to burn an opportunity.ย

Know your audience. If they are receptive to humor, and you can produce relevant content, then it's worth incorporating for sure. One of our best-performing LinkedIn ads is a meme, and it's worked perfectly for what we wanted to do with it. However, at my last company, a meme could have ended with you walking the plank if a broker was offended and sent it to our CEO.

Depends on the situation/relationship. I would do it if Iยดm sure they would understand and laugh at it. Everybody likes humor.

Humor is a part of sales. People buy from people and all that. If sending memes is you and you feel it suits the situation, why not.

I think they are appropriate/funny/break the ice kind of things. I'm for em.

Segment using the company age - If you're pitching to startups and new age companies, then go for it. If you're pitching old companies then be professional. Send memes only when you're absolutely sure then
