The company I'm at starts at 9 and ends at 6. I feel scammed, I thought us cogs were supposed to work 9-5.

Normal daytime hours, plus any time that's needed. If it's important I will always answer an email or take a call after hours. But I WFH so it's very flexible. I kinda set my own schedule.
8:30-4:30 with a one hour unpaid lunch. Most people don't take a whole hour for lunch and/or come in a little earlier to get the day started but overall there's no excessive overtime or weekend work here.
9-6 with an hour-long lunch break is still an 8 hour day...

8-5. Rarely take a lunch and often end up working til 7. Our start is pretty lax however and most people walk in the office anywhere from 7:50-8:30.

9-5 for me. The one company where I worked that did 9-6 was terrible

Typically 9a-5p with about an hour for lunch. My boss is very flexible on when I come and go, so it can vary but I like maintaining a consistent work schedule

If you are salaried (not hourly or tracked by hours) then you should be able to work the hours you need to in my opinion. if you can do the same in 6hr as someone can in 9, then work 6

Hours are typically 9-6 but we work when we need to work. If I need to block off time, start late, earlier, etc. It's no problem

Office hours always been 9-6. My company is east coast but I'm west coast so I've been flexible. I've been doing 7:30 - 4 daily, sometimes more sometimes less, I've been able to do more in WFH environment.
