What can Sales Ops do better?

Had some experience doing Sales Ops in my last role and wouldn't mind trying to do it again in the future, with that being said I know there's alot of hate on Sales Ops.


Would love to know what could your Sales Ops team be doing better to become more bearable for your team and not a pain in the ass? (where is the disconnect?)

The disconnect at my previous companies always came from a new process of having to fill out additional forms in the CRM. It just kept turning into more manual data entry work for me. The more automation, the better.

For sure, did they explain the value and the "why" behind having those additional forms/fields to fill out or was it just arbitrarily dropped on the team?

They always explained why, but it doesn't really matter to me. It was mostly for a reason that benefitted them, not me. All it means is more manual work for me

Traveled with my boss from hell. Too cheap to get his own room, so forced me into booking a double queen (this was somehow not against corporate policy)--he ended up bringing a girl back to our room 2 of the 3 nights (on the 3rd night he got too drunk at a client diner and I poured him into a cab home).
