What company has the most "cultish" culture?

We all see employees from a certain company post on LI constantly, making it seem like their company is their life.

From your own experiences or from friends, what company do you think has the most "cultish" culture?

Pretty sure you’re not allowed to work at those spots unless you’ve got three emojis next to your name and spend 2 hours a day in engagement pods.

They bought commercial real estate and leased it as office space. Their competitors are like Regus were fairly valued and WeWork had a high growth tech evaluation. Adding a keg to the common space doesn’t justify a tech evaluation.

Burn.  But seriously, are they still as cult-ish after the IPO fiasco?

Oh, and when the sham finally got exposed, a bunch employees, former employees and people WHO JUST HAD BEEN LET GO, all posted about how WeWork had changed the world. Really? Please explain that one.

Zoom. Had an old co-worker go be an SMB AE over there. He came to dinner with us wearing a zoom shirt & hoodie while telling us about how Zoom prefers you to eat lunch on campus and do Zoom meetings all day with prospects...

I’d wear Zoom condoms in public if I made $10-20M in the post IPO as an earlier sales rep….

This is the answer hands down. Not only is their product shitty, but their sales tactics are terrible and their CEO is the most annoying person on LinkedIn.

When I was an SDR manager I would CONSTANTLY get hit up by them even after I told them to stop (we had just signed a big contract with ZoomInfo).

I feel like you dont know about the Noogle world unless you're a noogler yourself, but every silicon valley giant probably has some sort of cultish behavior going on.

This for sure.  Googlers kinda insulate themselves with other googlers even outside of work.  This sort of creates some co-dependency.  Some googlers I've spoken to have literally said they wouldn't know what to do without google.  It's a love hate relationship

I would say Facebook. They are clearly way to happy with their subversion of news and sure they bought Instagram and Whatsapp that was very prescient but that doesn't mean they creates Whatsapp and Instagram. If anything it was luck. Facebook is a network of trolls. And their employees sound like the worst of the religious community (not the best which is to say there are good people who are religious so please don't twist my meaning).

I have enjoyed reading this thread way too much hahahahaha. All jokes aside though remember to take care of yourself before your company no matter how toxic the culture might be. Facebook, google, zoom, gong, sales force, and the rest of these companies are more worried about their bottom line than you as a person so I advise you think the same way to protect yourself. Your well-being is not worth sacrificing for a job‼️
