Hey friends - I used to sell beer on the streets of DC. Moved to SF, became an SDR and crushed it. Was promoted to AE and cant seem to close a door...

Make friends with another AE. Ask for their guidance and see if they will let you silently join a few meetings of theirs for training.  This helped me when I started out.

Don't let up. There will always be slumps. Maybe start shadowing another AE, in a mentorship sort of role. Always asking for feedback on how to improve your trade. Celebrate even the smallest "wins" or progresses in a deal.

Take time throughout your day to think about the things you are grateful for. Has helped me a lot in the past when I'm in a bad rut!

Stay productive, Read books like Never Split the Difference(Personal Fave), and work with mentors, You will learn something new that will help you. keep hammering the phones and filling that pipeline and you'll be swimming in cash.

It's a roller coaster, the highs go quickly and the ruts can last longer than you want. Just remember that things will turn around and depending on what you sell, maybe your sales cycle is longer and more relationship focused? If so, appreciate the little things you do everyday that move the needle. Celebrate every win and do a daily grateful exercise. We've all been there so rely on your team if you feel the trust is there :)

We all have a slump just keep on the work ethic. besides why not discuss it with your management? or even have a frank talk with your prospect on why they are not closing? Is there something holding them back?
