Sales Enablement is a faction of Revenue Operations/Sales Operations. They are the folks that build collateral, maintain slide decks, train reps on processes, roll out new technology, etc.

They are often absolutely miserable humans because sales reps treat them like trash. Be nice to your enablement team and you might get something out of it.

Our enablement team is on the road with us. Once the deal is locked they support it for the initial phases. Super helpful. Most are solid salespeople too

We would be fucked without our enablement team. Id be stuck making decks all day and creating collateral so its a thankless job but cant live without em.

Don't shit where you eat.

We have them train our reps on internal processes and how to better utilize the tools that we have. They've actually been a big help for several of our teams so far. They should stay away from the selling aspect and focus on processes to make sales people's lives easier

Good sales enablement is valuable.  They help onboard new reps, train on the tools, provide the product update training, and can operate as a resource if a sales team member is looking for help along the way.   The way to think of them is enabling the sales team to go do their jobs.   I've never thought of sales enablement as trainers.  While they do deliver training, in my experience, it's been the go-to-market messaging and themes that the company has decided to pursue for that FY.

I love our enablement team. They stay on top of all the shit I don't have time to constantly track and only let us know when a change actually effects us.

They also are the expert on all internal tools and processes so if I run into an issue with CPQ, Mode, whatever it is they can always solve it, and since they exist to serve sales are always super responsive.
