I'm current sitting at 2300-2500 calories pr. day mostly high protein meals, 20% fat and 40% carbs – the rest 40% is protein. Chicken, beef, protein shakes, almonds, veggies, fruit ect.

If you feel good, you perform good 🙂

What I've found helps me is not eating a ton of carbs during the day or early afternoon. I crash once I have any breads or heavy carb foods. I stick to salad, fish and some fruits and eat my carbs when I'm done with work/my call block. Ymmv, but I'd suggest cutting carbs/processed flour during the day and saving them for later.

a great detox first thing in the am is 1 glass of water with fresh juice from 1/2 a lemon. you can really tweak it to your liking too - adding mint (more detox benefits & feels fresh), heating up the water (sometimes better for the body), adding chia (filling & high in Omega-3s btw), etc.

I'm big on fruits, vegetables and lean meat to help improve mental health. I love being able to inhale a whole pizza but that just completely shoots my mental (and physical) health down the drain for a few hours.

I try to avoid big/heavy meals all together… it’s not so much the specific food (at least for me), it’s the amount.

if I go to Taco Bell and eat $25 worth of food at lunch, my day is pretty much over. If I’m craving Taco Bell though, I might chug a protein shake and then go to Taco Bell and get one thing off the menu.

over all, I’d say I eat extremely clean and lean, but I allow myself to splurge on some unhealthy menu items once a week

This may sound counter-intuitive, but I am a foodie that LOVES taco bell. I could slay every item on that menu. I can't get enough of that fake processed cheese. It's so glorious.
