in short, Darin at RepVue made a post without naming a company shaming them for going on a company trip to the Bahamas (IIRC) right before laying off folks. Sahil called him out for not just owning it and naming the company (Chili Pepper), and also for using that as clickbait and attention on his own company.

Yeah this is it. Fuck speculation or opinions, when I saw it I thought it was a smart move to get attention from both posters, but the CEO of CP came in and claimed the trip was paid for well in advance. Iโve never seen some company not be able to at least get something back when cancelling a trip in advance, but I only worked in hospitality at one high end hotel. Theyโre not all the same. The optics are bad for CP either way.
I am here for the drama.
