It's a serious combination of Sales skills, process, and persistence. If you have 1 of the 3 you'll do alright, but you won't be a master of the craft without all 3. I've got maybe 2/3 and it requires a lot of effort on my end to stick to the process instead of winging it on a client by client basis.

Voted process because it's what you control, but it's truly a combination. And don't forget that sales skills can be learned.

Umm sales skills in general?!

Discovery, cold call techniques, asking questions... There's some stuff that's innate but in general if one applies themselves then they can improve.

Good sales person with terrible processes will create headaches. Likewise, someone who follows a process but has not developed sales skills will get stuck and will most likely not close as much as possible. You really have to have both.

Running a process is a skill. I dont see how those are separate in any way.

Because it’s changing with every client, process mean the same very time , it’s has to be customized , that why skills are more important.

i have seen people that DONT know how to sell, close deals when the person has a TON of credibility in the industry and the product is solid.

but the sales cycle would have been shorter and more deals could have been closed if they had some basic sales skills.

so its complicated for sure hha

I clicked on Sales Skills because I have an issue with the Gongs of the world trying to re-engineer the Sales Process.

I define Sales Skills as both following a process (not a Gong-engineered one), persistence, some intelligence, and some luck.

There are definite Sales 101 & 102 things which can be taught to anyone, but the motivation and grit can't be taught.

If you follow a tight process, it will teach the needed sales skills.
If you just have sales skills, you should put them with a process to make sure you're doing the right things at the right time.

I'm not sure if you can truly separate them (besides soft skills)

Proces is crucial in my eye. Willy nilly approach wil break down in the long run. However, part of the proces is trying new stuff and A/B testing. Always looking to improve is part of it
