Best sales advice you've ever received ?

I'll go first with two of my favorites :

1) Don't talk yourself out of a sale

2) Don't be the first to talk during an awkward silence. People are uncomfortable with it and will often supply you with more information just to break the silence

1. Transparency and honesty are key
2. Send clients a meeting recap the same day

Both of those are really good ones. I don’t always feel like doing the recap the same day and often just want to catch up on stuff in my inbox that I missed during the meeting but it’s worth making the effort.

Well we have flexibility but the annoying thing is that there is a "pricing" team that has to approve my offer which is something weird because they are not involved the negotiation and suddenly can stop the whole deal from happening when you are agreed in the conversations with your prospect in the later stages.

That is definitely strange and I could see how that might blow up a deal.
