What is the best way to network?

In sales, networking is a priority. My career would be shaped completely different if I never took time to network early in my career. Eventually, the happy hours caught up with me so I limit the events to once a month.

Networking isn't only for growing your business. I've saved thousands of dollars for services and products because of the connections I built through.... you guessed it.... NETWORKING!

So, how do you network? If your area has specific events, post those. Who knows who lives near you?

I know people hate LinkedIn, but when you use it in a non-selling capacity you meet a ton of people

At work, work functions by far. I tell every new hire to attend EVERY happy hour you can. Getting FaceTime with VPs and the C-Suite is always a good thing.

Through mutual connections.

My favorite play right now is to connect two people who don’t know each other (but I do), and that introduction solves a problem for both. You bet your ass that they’re gonna brag about your awesomeness to everyone else they know.

be known as the person who solves problems. It’s a good reputation to have.

Most of it comes from people you really know. Try to use their network to build your own.

I build a lot while in uni. And using my student club.

I agree, but in some industries, it's frowned upon these days.  Are you taking them to dinner?

LinkedIn, blogs, local groups that have been virtual. Meeting people through mutual connections. Warm intros. They all work.

I actually started a business to help network as lead gen for my full-time job.  Personal branding & Podcast/Webcast on LinkedIn have increased engagement.

Honestly, the Lunchclub platform has been insanely helpful throughout the pandemic.
