so I would say the GOAL is to set a meeting.

But if you dont book a meeting it does not mean the conversation was a waste.

If you dont leave the conversation with a booked meeting, but you understand the pain points, and the key players better than it was still really valuable.

All of the above.

You want them to book a meeting - but you want the meeting to make sense for everyone.

Book the meeting. Then at the meeting, you can have a conversation and obtain the necessary information. The meeting is always the number 1 priority for cold outreach!

I think the goal of cold outreach is just to see if it is even worth chasing someone. I don't need a meeting or a long conversation if I find out they are not a fit.

A good cold message can simply be "Can I be SUPER blunt with you? I don't want to waste either your time or mine. Do you have (problem) in your business right now?"

If they say yes, you can go deeper. If they say no, on to the next one.

Minimum goal is to have a convo and gather info, but the ultimate goal is to set the meeting.

Primary goal is to introduce yourself as an expert and learn if the product itโ€™s a โ€œfitโ€ to the prospect. Not everyone is able to purchase your product at the time of call but letting them know that you understand that sets you apart from other Adrโ€™s

Kind of everything if you think about it. Meeting is ideal, but if you have a conversation or gather info, it's not the worst thing in the world.

Only goal is the meeting. Everything else is a waste of time until you have undivided attention. I canโ€™t stand it when salespeople try to keep talking to me when I tell them Iโ€™m busy, Iโ€™m sure Iโ€™m not the only one, and nobody is hated faster than a cold call salesperson.
