What is the most debilitating INTERNAL obstacle you have to deal with in your company?

Title is pretty self explanatory. What is the biggest internal obstacle you have to deal with in your company?

This could be a specific process or company policy. A department you need to rely on. Bad leadership. Territory structure, etcโ€ฆ

The list goes on and on so instead of making a poll about it, answer in the comments and explain why.

Lack of process- given a script and told to go sell with no formal process to follow and shaky CRM adoption by other reps.ย

National/Regional management.ย

Hell, the whole management structure is FUBAR. They have *5 offices competing against each other for the same prospect pool in NYC*. A win for one, is a loss for everyone else. Also, the nepotism is straight up sickening.ย

For example, let's say office 1 boss has ties to regional boss, so are given special favors and therefore has better sales revenue than office 2. Office 1 will then get more $$ allocated to it for resources (better quality support staff, events, bonuses, etc) which then furthers their advantage, reinforcing the notion that they should continue to get special favors from regional boss to national bosses.ย

It's straight up bullshit and encourages everyone to sabotage everyone else. I could get more meta about it, but the company structure is so, so flawed and their retention is absolute shit (for clients and talent). They do pay well, though, and keep underperformers around for years for straight up data mining their contacts (you have a 2 year non-compete for every prospect you enter into their system. And every prospect in your pipeline has to be entered by you. They don't give you jack shit).

My company is London-based. The bulk of our sales rev comes from Europe, the bulk of our sales team is in Europe, all of our C-suite is located in Europe. So, the hardest thing at my org is being in the US sales branch and being constantly compared to the UK branch as far as metrics.
