I have a couple of key questions I like to ask my potential hiring manager (I ask them more nicely than what is written here):
- Why is this territory vacant and why was the last person successful or unsuccessful?
- What is the quota x number of reps - what is the whole company or division's number? If the division will be at 200% of their number if every sales rep hits quota, those quotas are not realistic.
