What is the strangest question you have been asked in an interview?

What's the strangest question or ask you've gotten during an interview? Once during an all day interview with an IT Recruiting firm, I was asked "to pick any celebrity to be my mom or dad, who would it be?". I answered Will Farrell. In that same all day interview, I was forced to make five cold calls in front of the entire sales team and I had never recruited before.

Yeah and it was because of that question I didn't get the job. I talked about a family death and not being able to help my brother get back on his feet and it was hard for me to accept and this VP that asked the question said "that doesn't sound like you failed. But okay" It was my third and final interview and one of the other interviewers that liked me said that VP decided I wasn't a good culture fit.

To this day, I have no idea what the hell she meant but I got the job 🤷🏻‍♂️

I love these curve ball questions and have a few of them I use frequently. It shows me how quick on the feet the candidate thinks and responds and how they handle themselves doing it!
