What is your best "closing a sale on vacation" story?

Alright, I will start. I am on a golf vacation in Ireland. I just got done golfing at Galway Bay Golf Club (pretty awesome course if you are going to Ireland) and get a call from a client. It's about 10pm in Ireland and I am VERY drunk from golf beers and Irish Whisky at the pubs. They want to sign the SOW and PO! I take the call, grab my whisky, step out onto the condo's balcony and closed that deal.

Got a lot of shit from my friends, but the jokes on them, that trip was free because of that call.

I fuckin love it. Ireland is sick, especially Galway. Idk if this counts but I visited Galway a few years ago, went out on my own, met some pretty dope dudes and they invited me back to their place for some ripper magoos and whiskey. Partied till like 5am. I guess I scored some pretty bomb coke for free and closed in a sense? Other than that I can't say I closed a deal on vacation.

Closed a 5 pallet (CPG sales) order while walking back to my hotel in Lisbon. Definitely pissed off my wife, but pappa landed the largest deal in his territory that month!

I head down to FL for the 2nd half of December every year. I've closed many a deal by the beach or pool. Just gotta watch that wind noise!

It's the end of the sales cycle (Oct 31) and a prospect is *this* close โ€“ do you EVER mention that as a way to urge the sale along?
