Be present and don't go for the meeting - go for perspective.

Don't take things personally. People are assholes and you have to roll with the punches and keep going.Β

Cut the filler and be super brief acknowledging the fact they weren’t expecting your call. Throw out some issues they might be facing and how you fix it and then ask for a meeting to see if there’s a fit. That’s what I do and every time I book a meeting it works every time.

Be a sponge and learn as much as possible within the first couple of months + ask tons of questions among peers as well.

If you can start a conversation, you're likely to get the meeting. The secret is not going after the meeting and recognizing when to pitch it.

Find the top reps in your company across different regions and segments, soak up their advice like a sponge. Dive in, make mistakes, reflect on what you did every day and get a little bit better. Write down each objection that bowls you over and figure out a way to respond to it next time.Β

Make friends with your AE. Schedule a 1 on 1 meeting with them so you can learn their process and formulate a plan.
