What is your OTE?

The common perception in my company is we have quite low base salaries compared to the market rate.

I'm curious, what's everyone's OTE, split and segment?

I'm in SMB (my company defines they as <250). At current exchange rates my OTE is about 110k USD, 50/50. Highest in my team is 120k.

Unified Comms, so fairly small cost per user, short sales cycles in my segment. Longest are typically 3-6 months.ย

10k employees should be considered enterprise, not MM. that's just my opinion though, so it doesn't mean much lol

Yeah so that's usually where the OTE gets derived, High volume, low average contract value and a short sales cycle. It costs the business more to manage their clientele and that OTE isn't bad at all. Grass is always greener is certainly something to consider here.ย

There's some companies that consider 5,000 employees Enterprise for sure. goes back to the name it's all just a title... Can you close or not

Public Sector AE, I would lean toward mostly Enterprise sized deals. 220 OTE. 50/50 split.

Not really. For one thing many of these are Fortune 100 so 1 account may have dozens of subsidiaries I can pursue. I have a good install base that provides a steady stream of expansions (we license per user) and the occasional upgrade. Also, since the accounts are so large I really only need 1-2 new deals to hit quota.

I recently interviewed for a "strategic AE" position where I'd only have 5 accounts... That seemed scary.

260k OTE- 50/50 Split, Typically ENT at my company pays up to 300 to 320kย  but with a higher quota, when you do the math you realize with accelerators and a lower quota you make a ton more with a lower OTE... A good year you can pull in 400 to 500kish.. A bad year is 2oo to 250kish..ย

If it's an internal promotion, from my experience internal promotions get shafted compared to external hires. I'm making 10% more OTE than internal promotions that joined my team at the same time
