One line email:ย  "Have you given up on this project?"ย  Read some stuff about how people naturally don't want to answer yes to having given up on something, so you'll likely at least get a response explaining why there's been a delay in them getting back to you.ย ย

I love this. Imma test this out today, reaching out to countless prospects who've ghosted in the last couple quarters.
Thanks, @HarryCarayย

Agreed.ย  Another one-liner of "can you kindly take 2-3 minutes to respond to this thread so we can move forward appropriately" has like a 75% reply rate for me... I was skeptical at first but I usually get something back.ย

A little bit more tactful approach I use is something similar to:ย

"Hi POC,

Any movement here? At this point, it doesn't seem like an organizational priority unless I misunderstood something.
Let me know if it makes sense for us to reconnect to discuss bringing the leadership team in and presenting a business case for buy-in, or if we should table this until it pops back up.
Happy to proceed either way!

Thanks,"

I find if you give them an out and say bad feedback is welcome, you get some insight a decent percentage of the time.ย  Unfortunately its usually bad news, but at least you can go find a new deal and free up mental space!ย

I use something very similar. Get 80-90% response rate. Obviously not always the answer I want, but at least allows me to move on.

Chris Voss - "Have you give up on...?" gets a reply most of the time.

I have a prospect who promised to intro us to another team, to set up a 2nd meeting. How do I do the Chris Voss in this scenario? "Have you given up on introducing us?" it sounds pretty harsh that way, like I'm being an A-hole about it.

This is actually interesting, posted a similar question to this. What is working for you so far??

If I can't get them on the phone, I would remind the prospect their challenges and pains my solutions solves to stress the importance for a response.ย  But if that doesn't work then I'm at a dead end.

For all you mail mergers out there, do you see more success emailing one DM or all DMs on a custom thread? I've noticed that putting all relevant DMs on one campaign that is 100% customized to their business has a much higher response rate (28% meeting sucess)

Is there anything sweeter than seeing a prospect who ghosted you cc'd on an email from their boss?
