It means they're not active and/or not tech savvy. At least that's my first impression.

Personally, profile pic adds some sense of trust. I dont know the psychology behind it but looking at face does add some trust

Usually I assume the person doesn't use LI that much.
I also find that a lot of people in blue collar industries without a decent looking corporate headshot will go picture-less as well. Not all that weird. Better to have no picture than an unprofessional looking one.

Somewhat I agree, at least once in their life time they would have got that real picture. Maybe, the wedding day.LOL
I'm not sure what you mean? I think you should have a picture posted. If I receive a request with no picture and they wrote a note with their connection req, then I accept it. No picture and no customized note? Ignored.
Why can't someone show their face on a platform like LI. Man, you're here to make connection not stay invisible.
So, you can adjust a setting that only shows your photo to 1st-degree connections. I am certain it has cut down on LinkedIn creeping/stalking. The stories I've heard from female colleagues about dudes that have stalked them down at conferences were pretty wild--makes this feature seem worth it.
Well then it depends on what you wanna really show in the place which means how do you look like? Mostly folks judge you based on your looks before making you a cold call.

Your profile picture is the first impression that you can cause, I usually don't accept any request from profiles without pic.
You follow the protocol then, great my friend :)
It does depend on if I know them or not. I have plenty of people I know that don't care about pictures and/or don't understand the value it adds. But for the most part they normally have 6 connections and want to sell me something.
In one line, if you don't have a face you'll never be in my connections. I can only add you if you're my best friend or maybe ex,lol

Note : completely can't judge that way too as there is an option you set for profile pic visibility - full network or just anybody on and off your network

I don't trust someone without a profile pic on any social media.
1. Scammer, 2. Not tech savvy, 3. Important/wealthy enough to not give a shit.
