What milestones and skills will I need to become a top enterprise AE?

I am currently an SDR and will get promoted to an AE role in the next 6 months. My goal is to get to a place where I am closing six figure deals and earning a base of over 100k and OTE of over 200k.

You need to be able to navigate large organizations.ย 

You need to know how to get in front of the right people and how to act and behave in front of them.ย 

Super long sales cycles and knowing everyone. It also helps if you can get into the same parties as those guys.

Oh and another one I see all the time: just because 10M is a lot to you, its nothing to a corporate account. You need to convince yourself that is not a very large number.ย 
You nail those, you should be okay. Oh and don't sleep with your AA.ย

Buyer alignment gets them buying from you.
Pain identification gives you leverage.
Talk to Everybody!!!!

Create a detailed process for each aspect of the sales process. You can't leave things uncovered.

Start practicing push back so you are ready when procurement or the buyers play their games with you.
