What next?

I've been selling SaaS for a few years now &  love it for the most part. I've been remote for the past couple years now, and getting a bit tired of it, though I don't think an office environment is the solution (I was constantly exhausted and free time was spent resting).  whether remote or in-office, I've lacked flexibility.. much of it due to high standards, big targets & then my own time management.
in any case, the idea of selling in person has been enticing.  When I hear sales leaders outside my org, they describe relationship building & face to face as crucial to a healthy sales process.  I think relationship building is one of my strong suits, and not leveraged so much in virtual SaaS sales. so I'm wondering, where can I look for such an experience- where I can incorporate face to face without having to be in the field constantly and maintain the elements of SaaS sales i love so much?

Completely remote software sales gig with prospects around the country & some times overseas.. hasn’t been done and unnecessary really. Do a good deal of saas gigs have face to face smb or mm?

My job is "enterprise sales" which connotes "field sales" or in person. Of course, that all shifted in 2020, and many places are slow getting back into having face to face meetings. In my case, many of the stakeholders are also working remotely, so having a demo or session with the whole team at their HQ generally doesn't involve the whole team anyway. That said, meeting with key stakeholders or champions is fantastic, but I balance that against the time that travel may take from other prospects or customers, and make sure that I choose wisely. I'm not currently working in a geo territory, so travel is a real consideration.
When I was in a geo, I'd meet with my prospects all the time, and it was excellent, and highly recommend it.

You "think" relationship building is a strong suit. Sounds like you believe it will be easier. If time management is already a struggle, how are you going to figure in travel time for every call?? Face to face takes more time and is more expensive. Standards are still high, targets are still big, and you have less time.

Hmm changes a lot when you put it like that. I was used to commuting to another state every day 5 days/wk, then made a dramatic shift to entirely remote work. Software sales has always been fulfilling and this is just me thinking face to face will had some extra spice + suits me well

Thought maybe a more casual sales lifestyle exists and someone here would have ideas. I’ve done the cold calling and prospecting. Maybe its a little too soon but my thinking is I’d like to spend more time actually selling, and it’s most impactful in person
