A thick skin, competitive spirit, ability to build rapport with all types of people, organized, professional but not stuffy, know their shit about the product.
The best sales reps are almost like journalists imo. They're never afraid to ask a question and if they aren't getting the full answer, asking follow-up questions to really dig into the prospect's situation.
It may feel uncomfortable in the moment and the opposite of building rapport, but in the long-term of the deal, it actually builds trust because the prospect knows you have their best interest in heart and don't just want to talk about your features and services.

Perseverance and quick on their feet
It's all about service for me. The best sales reps respond in an hour when it takes someone else to respond in a day or a week. They don't procrastinate, they don't drop the ball; they don't neglect their tasks (proactive or reactive).
