What resources do you recommend when looking into early startups?

Recently I have been working with a lot of young startups. They are either in their early A or seed funding. The traditional resources of GlassDoor and Linkedin don't have much. I've used Angel.co before and didn't love it. Any recommendations are appreciated!

When you say "looking into" what do you mean?

For selling to: I have a Crunchbase Pro account for prospecting. Typically I look into their investors to get an idea of any portcos that are our current customers & leverage exec connections. BuiltIn often has details with their open positions & rankings.

I'd be most interested in culture, investors, the founder's past experience, and any sort of customer or employee feedback. Not exactly hard data points but super helpful information when vetting.

Have you checked LinkedIn and Twitter. You can get insights into their activities, comments or even reach out to shared connections.

The current and last two roles were all from executive search firms and the roles were never publicly advertised.
