A former colleague of mine one time was trying to get a meeting with Asana so he created an Asana project with the tasks: - get demo with Asana - run great demo with Asana - send contract to Asana - close deal with Asana
He shared it with them. They absolutely ate it up. He got the demo, ran the demo, and closed the deal.

I love it. I did something similar with Spotify to invite them to an event we were hosting. I created a playlist with the song titles spelling out “come to our event this Thursday” and sent to them

That’s funny. I used a similar tactic to get an interview ages ago. Basically incorporating the free trial of the software that the company sells in my job application.

I bought and read the VP’s book and discussed it with him. Then sold to the CTO.

One of my prospects posted on LI what his top goals for the year were, one of which was to build out some workflows for their website - which is right up our alley. So, I had my SE build essentially a better version of their website using our tech, record a video of him demonstrating the UX, and sent the video to their c suite.

My first job out of school was staffing....I used to just walk in the front door and ask to speak with someone.....doesn't work anymore in today's times let alone covid world but in 2013 it was great.
