Well been broke all my life and still am. Don't have a happy come up story yet, so ig I'm just here for emotional support. :')

The first summer after college while looking for a full-time role, I signed on to do traveling pest control sales for a few months after hearing it was a good way to make quick cash and learn valuable life tools. My team and I were assigned to a very poor part of Louisiana where pest control was not a necessity to the locals nor affordable. Tough combo to overcome. We paid out of pocket for lodging, travel, food, etc. and were paid once a month, purely on commission. Already being fairly broke from life as a college student, and having a dismal first month of selling, my card declined on a Gatorade after a long day of sweating through door-to-door rejections. After the first month, we were moved to Nashville where we able to perform and actually make a decent amount of money, but needless to say, that month in Louisiana was an awful time. Learned a lot of lessons and tools that have propelled me in my career though, that's for sure.
Pawned my disc man in college to take a girl out. She ended up having a boyfriend so in the end no girl, no disc man, low cash

Had $30 bucks and gave away $3. The hardest $3 I've ever given away in my life, but totes worth it.
