What's the fastest anyone has gone from Cold outreach to meeting/deal?

I once was lucky enough to cold call a company and get the meeting in 2 hours later. Hasn't happened since. If anyone has tips on getting immediate ones in then that would be great!

I was selling something with a very low price point ($400) and short sales cycles. I cold-called a guy on a Sunday, got him to do a demo right then and there, and he bought right away while saying "I didn't think I was going to buy today".

Same-day sales were common at one of the companies I worked for. Low ACV, business imperative software.

Filled that niche. Overcame all objections.

Actually it was an inbound lead. Corps latest video has me gassed as it was basically the same meeting I was in.

One day. Very transactional sale but I literally called a company and they had free time to demo right then and there. At the end he wanted to buy and start that day. Not many times that happens but it was so fun

1 cold email to get the meeting booked - i am still very stoked on that pass - and about 10 days to sign. Needless to say, they already had a use case and I had a ~brief~ moment of luck.

Sent a Linkedin request to who I thought was the DM at a company on a Wednesday and followed up with an email (never talked to him before this at all or had any dealings with him as he was new in the role) because I saw that he had recently come onboard with the company.

I asked for a meeting, and he said to give him a call whenever. I gave him a call on that Friday. He just happened to be stressed with finance issues and eliminating a lot of risk (he'd inherited from his predecessor). He was actually working late on a Friday to try and catch up and fix some of this problems or plan on how to fix them in the upcoming quarter. I think this was right after Christmas --- so maybe mid January.

So after I'd gotten a good sense of what he was trying to solve, I pitched our product and how it could solve these financial tracking and risk issues for him. I set up a demo for Monday. He asked for a contract immediately after the hour-long presentation. Since he was formerly in a legal/finance role, he did the redlines.

By the next Friday, I had a signature for $45k. So a one-week sales cycle from cold outreach to close was a pretty sweet feeling, and I don't think I can ever replicate that quick of a deal that's 100% outbound like that one.

Two words: Significant Events.  Take natural disasters for example.  If your territory is undergoing some sort of disaster, or change that affects your clients, reach out to them!  i.e.  Hurricane Season is coming, and every Floridian preps for this in a multitude of ways.  What value could you bring your prospect during this sort of event?

Set these alerts up through Google Notifications.  People connect most when their business, personal lives could potentially be affected.  Empathy and value will always win over benefits and features.

Sound advice, can see how it would work! I, unfortunately, live in England where it is just raining for 50 weeks of the year then sunny for two.

I feel like it's going to vary widely by industry for obvious reasons. My fastest was about 30 minutes, but my sales cycles were super fast.

dya reckon it's all about the sales cycle or is there another factor getting in the way? In general not just you!

Very industry dependent but I closed a deal in 8 days one time. Normal cycle is 3+ months. Smaller deal but did not to spend too many cycles on it anyway

I cold called, did a discovery call over the phone, sent a form that day and they signed. I love SMB.
