Context: We shut off a prospect's trial after they refused to sign the contract and asked for an additional 2 weeks. This was all after a call where we all mutually agreed we fit their needs and they were ready to move forward.
Them: "This is how you earn a reputation in the industry. I won't forget this."
Me: "The door swings both ways, [name redacted]. Good luck."
Sure, it's not slapstick, but the amount of fuck you energy I put into the single line got me and my CEO dying laughing after a shitty sales cycle.
