What's the hottest consumer product launched in the past 5 years?

What consumer product was one of the biggest game-changers announced in the past 5 years?  (A product we didn't think we needed until it came out)

This is a freakin' question a prospect asked me and wants to know 'my opinion' this Friday morning. Big deal on the table and I have no f-ing idea.

Could be hardware, a tool, software, baby tech.. I need your help savages!!

Hard seltzer. No BS I remember it didn't exist and then one summer every single company in the beverage industry has an offering. It was really a game changer in terms of marketability to women drinkers and just being an easy drink as lots of people don't like beer.

Great answer. Came out of nowhere. Now Sam Adam’s sells more Truly Berry flavors than all of their beer combined.

yeah, First nobody in Belgium wanted it, then students loved it, then the quarter-life crisis people jumped on it and now it´s a hype.

I think it´s disgusting.

I love the disclaimer on Shark Tank saying they really don't have to honor the agreements they make on the show.  Also, I wonder how many times a startup walks off the show without an offer only to get one after the fact.  A behind-the-scenes show would be very interesting.

Yeah, makes you wonder what percentage of the offers actually go through. I would also love a behind the scenes show for sure!!

B2C software services such as Uber, Lyft, Grubhub, Lieferando, Ubereats etc. And/Or Amazon Prime, Netflix, Disney+.

Might not be quite five years, as some are older/younger, but the amount of services we can access on our phones now is such a game changer. I haven't thought about ordering delivery, a cab, or watching movie without one of these companies in years.

Oh yeah! They changed the gaming world for sure. I’m still huge in single player games with a great story

AirPods, Hard Seltzer, and I'd say Venmo (or any app similar). Wild that we have an ability to just transfer money to each other now directly & digitally.

Have you ever sold a product to a client while representing one organization and then switched jobs and had to sell a different product to the same client again?
