What's the nicest/coolest thing a coworker's ever done for you?

I know we're always out hustling, and some people's coworkers or bosses are assholes. But there's gotta be some good stories out there – what's the most legit thing a coworker's ever done for you (at work or outside of work)?

Cut me off at a happy hour after I had just fired someone I really liked for the first time.

This employee was a great person that I liked having around the office, but a HORRIBLE employee. We had our bi-annual team outing that afternoon...ended up getting too saucy on the bourbons and got a little down on myself. Nothing reckless or outright embarrassing, but I clearly shouldn't have been there anymore. They cut me off, walked me back to the office, got me an Uber, and made sure I was good to get home. Never spoke about it again, but I owe them the same solid one day.

Sales Training & Enablement
When I was going through a really awful breakup, the first rep that I trained (who was by then a stellar mid-market rep) closed a monster deal that Friday and proceeded to pay it forward by taking me and a few of the OG reps out bar crawling. He paid the entire bar tab (even though he wouldn't see the commission on the deal for a few weeks). It was probably close to $500 (I'm guessing).

After we were all hammered, we went and egged her house.

He threw the first egg!

Oh man so much.

There was one BDR that would leave surprise goodies on my desk on the days they knew I'd be coming in the office.

You best believe I did anything and everything for that BDR. Even shot her deals I could had easily closed.

We are still friends to this day.

Given me good advice instead of let me wallow in negativity.

Decorated my desk for my birthday.

On a different birthday, one of my colleagues knew I love chicken fingers so instead of cake she brought the office and I chicken fingers from A&W, so sweet of her.

When I was on the inside sales team, I had a field rep buy me a nice watch at the end of the year. That watch meant a lot to me and I still wear it all the time.

It was my birthday and at the time we would go to the pub and drink pints and have ciggys, and I came in and a birthday card signed from everyone was on my desk with a pack of rollies with a note saying 'happy birthday matey'. It was my pouch of backie from the night before half full. Best day and birthday ever.

Going on from my last comment - that same colleague drove to his home county and bought me a keg of his local Ale and delivered it straight to my door.
