What's the one thing you do better/different than any other Salesperson?

I'd like to see a thread of tips, tricks and specialties that you use to differentiate yourself from your competitors. Since we're all anonymous and in different markets, I think it's a fairly safe here to divulge a slick move you always use in return for dozens of others telling you theirs.

End result - we all get better at this.

Mine - Photo of my family at the start of every introductory presentation. I tell them "this is why I'm here meeting with you today."

DON'T stay on the slide for more than 10 seconds, it turns too sugary and cheesy, but a quick reminder that I'm actually a human being and not a dreaded "salesman" goes a very long way.

Your turn.

Well as Pro’s we all have our unique methods and routines to success and I wouldn’t say I’m “better” than any other at this but I’ve trained myself to be the best active listener I can be and it makes me a lot of frickin $$ on the phones.

Another method of mine is making sure I’m not that same guy they just talked to whether it’s my product or not.

In my real life I’ve never been a “phony” person and I conduct myself the same way on the phones. You can take my word to the bank.
Honesty, integrity, and the genuine approach I have had always won.

Interesting, tell me more about the "not that same guy" approach, what do you mean?

Well basically, my approach is to be sure I don’t sound like the typical phone salesperson I like to stand out and give em a reason to not hang up on me.

They see my number on the caller ID and they know where I’m calling from so when they do pick up I make sure I say what they least expect to get their attention and at that point they know I’m not that “same guy” from the the previous calls.

Tight! Give me an example of a "least expected" opening.

Depends on the DM I’m calling. For example if the past notes show them always hanging up on the reps I’ll usually start with “hey Joe DON’T hang up on me!” And kinda go from there usually I’ll give them or their biz a huge compliment and the follow with a specific reason as to why we need to talk this very moment. I like to throw in some humor as well and get their guard down.

On every call tho, my urgency and tone are what sets me apart along with a winning personality. I make sure I’m someone that I would actually wanna talk to.
Like you said, remind em you’re a human being and not that “dreaded salesman”

Listen, learn, apply, note, plan, solve : that's my approach for client during meetings
Prepare, plan, strategize, detail : that's my approach before meetings
Thank, Template a draft : Key note (in bold), CTA in the end : that's post meeting
Is it unique or no, unsure, love this though❤️

I am genuinely curious... so I ask a lot of questions that lead to meaningful discussions allowing me to share just enough "expertise" and "insight" to earn their trust.  My clients know I care about helping them achieve success.
