What is the point of telling my numbers to my manager and his / her manager when they can just run a report and see ?

the best ones i have been apart of have been more focused on skills.
so there is a portion where you are evaluating your self on what aspects you are doing really well at and what YOU want to improve on.
then the manager is giving their feedback on what you are doing well at and what they want you to do better at.
then you can talk about the best ways to get better and any specific obstacles that you think are going to get in your way

Additionally, we use ours to share best practices and stories with the team.
Another big thing is "start, stop, continue". We discuss what we as individuals, a team, and a company should start, stop, and continue.
Reading numbers is boring as hell and a waste of time.

My QBRs seem infernal as well.
But assuming that's a typo and you meant "internal": Best use case for a QBR is to get coaching, have management understand what's working/not working in your territory + each deal, and how they can get you help to get the deals across the line.

Not really. It’s usually a 1-o-1 number analysis thingie
That's not really a QBR in the traditional sense then. It's just a more indepth deal review meeting.
Inferal? Is that like an infertile QBr where no seeds for new deals are planted?
