Right? It's still something that takes me by surprise even though it really shouldn't.

I'll always try to reply by saying something like, "Oh wow, did I hear that right? I've never had a business tell me that making this change wouldn't be worth it for an extra 30% in revenue."ย 

This usually helps the customer open up and talk about what other objections they may have. If it doesn't help them open up then it usually ends in the prospect doubling down and explaining again why they don't need / want the extra revenue lol.
